Hello,
I heard that Google considers the age of the domain as an important SEO factor, which acts as a filter some domains of spam.
How important do you think is this?
Any help will be appreciated.

The age of the domain is built up of how long the content has been actually on the web, how long the site has been in promotion, and even the last time content was updated. So the age of the domain name plays a vital role in ranking.........
If you are having an old domain name...........that adds more credibility to your search engine rankings..especially Google gives more importance to domain age...........
So using this site http://www.whoisxy.com/ , you can gather the information of the domain name creator and owner of the domain name also it displays the information of the domain name that is when is expired & created........its a easy way to find the age of domain name.........

Domain age is very important for best SEO because it can be useful in terms of keeping a website which can have possibilities of making the most of top ranks over the net, but offered that the old domain has been linked with an active website online during months and years of registration.

Domain age is very important because it shows that how much Google prefer to your site. If your site PR is 4 or 5 then you think your domain is pretty good in Google eye.

Domain age is extremely important. However, it is important to note just because your domain has aged does not mean that your webpage/domain will be ranked highly within Google. You can have an old domain that is not ranked on Google at all. You have to use SEO techniques in order to change your page rank in Google.

Domain age was very important in the past as it showed that the older domain was established and it had a greater level of trust with Google. Now in 2015 a lot has changed. Content is king as far as Google is concerned. If you have high quality content and back links to your content that is what gets you a high ranking on Google. Matt Cutts, a Google engineer said domain age is an insignificant factor that really carries very little weight in the Google algorithm.

Domain age plays an important role in google ranking and building online presence in search engines.
Old is gold .
The more old domain will be, the more strong domain value will be.
You can analyze the quality of backlinks linked to that domain.
Nowadays content plays an important part, so we can focus more on content of the oldest site.
